Maria Giannopoulos is a digital savvy Wisconsinite, bubbly gal, with a deep love for politics. She hails from Sheboygan, Wisconsin, where the polka band is famous in Home Alone and the cheese squeaks. She is a Greek gal and her personality puts the BIG in my Big Fat Greek Wedding. Her spirit shined at the University of Wisconsin - Madison where she served as the Senior Class President and the Student Body Vice President. Currently, Maria lives in our nation’s capital pursuing a Masters Degree in Integrated Marketing Communications at Georgetown University.  

Professionally, Maria is at the center of social, digital media and politics. As a digital marketer, Maria planned digital advocacy campaigns and storyboarded social media accounts for Senator Orrin Hatch and Senate Candidate Bob Hugin. Now, Maria serves on the Civics Outreach Team at Google where she trains elected officials, political campaigns, advocacy organizations and civic non-profits on best practices for Google’s vast array of digital tools. She also leads the team's marketing efforts with key political stakeholders.  

Politically, Maria is the Chairwoman of one of the Nation’s Largest Young Republican chapters, the DC Young Republicans. As the leader of over 350 active members, Maria and her team coordinate campaign deployments, phone banks to help elect Republicans across the country. In her spare time, Maria enjoys traveling, eating cheese and riding her peloton.
