E. Garrett Bewkes IV is the Publisher of National Review, a political opinion journal founded in 1955 by William F. Buckley, Jr.  Garrett came to National Review at age 29 from the New York Post Digital Network where he served as the Senior Manager, Digital Strategy & Account Management. Since coming to National Review, Garrett and his team have undergone a full company and product overhaul, resulting in incredible year over year growth across all major industry KPIs, including subscriptions and revenue.

Outside of his work at NR, Garrett dedicates his time to civic engagement and community service.  Having just completed a term serving as the 27th District Representative to the State Central Committee of the Connecticut Republican Party, Garrett has recently stepped aside from that role to focus on co-founding and co-presiding over the newly reestablished CT Chapter of Log Cabin Republicans alongside his husband, Bradley Michelson (now Bewkes).  In addition, this fall Garrett will be completing his two-year term on The List, a media industry advocacy group assembled by Ad Age and Facebook, where he co-led the Curriculum and Platforms Taskforce as part of their mission of establishing a mentorship program, now known as Generation Next, helping underrepresented minority groups in the media industry reach the executive level.

Garrett holds a BA from Colgate University in Hamilton, NY, as well as a Certificate in Applied Politics from the Graduate Gateway Program at American University in Washington, D.C.  Garrett is also a graduate of the inaugural 2020 class of the Charter Oak Leadership Program, a sister program to the Leadership Program of the Rockies.  He currently resides with his husband and dog, an American Staffordshire Terrier named Benson, in Stamford, CT.
